Donate Professional Services and/or
Become a House Sponsor Our houses
and residents require support services just like any family. As we
open more houses, our administrative staff will require the assistance and
expertise of professionals. If you have a skill that you think would
be helpful to us, please fill out the
Skills Inventory and Interest Survey.
Become a House Sponsor
Sponsorship of a House is
critical to the establishment and survival of a house. A house
sponsor is a man (for men's houses) or a woman (for women's houses) who
has long term sobriety and who wants to help the residents of a new house
learn to live together and support each other in recovery. House
sponsors attend the weekly house meeting and are available at other times
when the residents require his/her support. While it is expected that the
residents of the house will be able to operate their house smoothly,
occasionally they need a guiding hand, or sometimes even a nudge, from
their house sponsor. If you are interested in becoming a house
sponsor where you can experience the rewards that help enhance recovery
for individuals, or would like to learn more about that role, please let
us know at SHIP. |
