About Us

Michael Patrick Campbell

1980 – 2011

Mike Campbell, 31, passed away on November 10, 2011 at his home in Boise.  Mike entered this world early on March 17, 1980 at St. Lukes Regional Medical Center’s in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Boise.  A celebration of Mike’s life will be held Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Episcopal Cathedral, 518 N. 8th Street, Boise, ID 83702.  The Rev. David Wettstein will officiate.  Reception will immediately follow the ceremony.

Mike began working at Albertson’s on Broadway after school at the age of 16 as a courtesy clerk.  He was recently promoted to the Customer Service Manager.  It was at Albertson’s that Mike met his fiancé and mother of his child, Sarah Johnson.

Based on Mike’s 15 years of experience at Albertson’s, he provided volunteer services to one of his favorite causes, the Second Chance Building Materials Center, a social venture of Supportive Housing and Innovative Partnerships (SHIP).  He developed a new and much improved cash control system to assist in SHIP’s green jobs training program.

Mike graduated from his beloved Boise High School in May of 1998.  During his childhood and teen years he played soccer and basketball.  Mike traveled to Sweden and Amsterdam for two weeks in 1995 to play soccer.  During his senior year he played football for Boise High in the fall of 1997.  His proudest football moments as a football player are when the Braves beat Borah and when he earned the “stick of the week” award in the game against Meridian High School when he stopped touchdown on a punt return as the kicker.  Mike was a Bronco Nation fanatic throughout his life.

On April 13, 2006, Mike welcomed his son, Jaymen Timothy Campbell into his life. Mike was head over heels in love with his son.  He was involved in every aspect of Jaymen’s life.  He cherished each and every moment he had with his son.  We know Mike will be looking out for Jaymen from up above.

Mike is survived by his son Jaymen, his brother Steven Campbell and his mother, Melanie Curtis, his niece Gracie Barber, and nephews, Damian Barber, Adrian Barber and Tristan Barber, Uncle W. Brian and Aunt Diane Curtis.

Mike was preceded in death by his Grandfather Bill D. Curtis and Grandmother Merle Curtis.

The family requests no flowers, but suggests memorials may be made on behalf of the Jaymen Campbell Education Fund, c/o SHIP, PO Box 8803, Boise, ID 83707.
