Good outcomes from TC treatment are strongly related to treatment duration. Individuals who complete at least 90 days of treatment in a TC have significantly better outcomes on average than those who stay for shorter periods.

Therapeutic Community (TC) Compass House is the first step in SHIP’s housing continuum. The program is a three phase program that habilitates or rehabilitates persons who are lacking life skills due to addiction and other factors. Therapeutic Communities have been successful in helping many addicted individuals, often thought to be beyond recovery, secure a way out of the self-destructive behavior.
