SHIP is a non-profit organization that provides affordable treatment services, clean and sober housing and recovery support. The Second Chance Building Materials Center is one part of SHIP’s job training program to help people in recovery learn new work skills.

The recycled art show is hosted by SHIP (Supportive Housing and Innovative Partnerships) and Second Chance Building Materials Center, a retail store run by SHIP. Second Chance sells recycled and donated building materials, appliances and other items for home improvement projects. The store has won the Enviroguard award and in 2006 was named one of Boise’s most progressive businesses. Proceeds from the store go to help run SHIP’s drug and alcohol treatment programs.
