Supportive Housing and Innovative Partnerships Inc. (SHIP) is holding its first annual Run 4 Recovery September 8^th 2012. In addition to providing safe and sober housing for people in recovery from substance abuse, SHIP is dedicated to improving and strengthening our community.

This event is designed to bring awareness about substance abuse, treatment and what an important part a healthy lifestyle and strong community play in recovery. The chip timed 5k run will begin in Veteran’s Memorial Park, continue along the scenic greenbelt and end up back at Veteran’s Memorial Park. After the run, participants and others will find an event with booths providing information about community programs, music, a raffle and food.
