A Supportive Way of Living and an Opportunity to Learn Skills in a Safe and Sober Environment
Not going back to where a person in recovery came from may be the single most important reason for Safe and Sober Housing. Using this cost-effective way to improve the chances of recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction may be the best way to show the community that recovery works, and that persons in recovery can become model citizens.
In order to be placed in either SHIP's Safe Harbor Program, or Grant Per Diem Program you must qualify through the Veterans Administration. - Veterans of all eras and discharge statuses may also be serviced through a Federal Grant called Access to Recovery 3. Call Business Psychology Associates (BPA) at 1-800-922-3406 for program screening.
Safe Harbor Program SHIP has partnered with the VA to provide this program for homeless veterans with severe and persistent mental health issues. Safe Harbor is a six month program that provides additional support for individuals that are in need of a more structured environment. Key components of this program include:

Veterans frequently enter this program after stabilizing in our Safe Harbor Program and utilize this time to become self sufficient and transition into our community.
